Who are the men and women behind the badge?

Join us in our travels and meet law enforcement officers from across the country and share in their story as we help build relationships with the communities they serve.

Who We Are

Retired Sergeant Charlie Simmons and his wife Tricia Simmons

After 27 years with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office we wanted to give back to the law enforcement community. We are travelling the country in our 5th wheel trailer and meeting with law enforcement agencies across the country.

What We Do

Taking Photographs and Telling Stories

We are looking to share stories of the people behind the badge in an effort to give a new perspective on the men and women of law enforcement. We also provide agencies with a myriad of photos for them to use to build relationships with the communities they serve and to build esprit de corp within the agency.

Feature Story

A Chief Deputy, the “Pie Guy” and Santa all walk into a sheriff’s office, wearing the same shoes...

Chief Deputy Joe Koetter of the Red Willow County Sheriff's Office is much like a lot of other law enforcement officers - he wears many different "hats". Joe just takes it to the next level and intermingles those "hats" (or shoes) with his community outreach.

A big guy with a big heart and a reserved smile who is dedicated to his community and fellow first responders.

Sergeant Sean Ahlers, Rockaway Beach Police Department, a dedicated officer, one of the reassuring voices on the other end of the phone as a volunteer for Safe Call Now and a derby skating official - the Harbinger of Sorrow.

Lt. Bruce Holt, Seaside Police Department, and his wife Dana open their hearts and home to 72 foster children. Share how this amazing couple helped so many children in their community.

Do you have your hankie? Good, you might just need it for this one as there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during the interview.

We are in Texas!

We are southbound and down! We headed for warmer weather and are excited to be working with Texas law enforcement officers. We will be in Brackettville, TX and working with the local LEO's (Kinney County SO, Uvalde PD, Edwards County SO and more).
